Lesson Resources

Potential new students may schedule an assessment lesson. The assessment lesson will inform both instructor and student how well they work together and what to expect from lessons.

  • Cost per individual lesson:

    • 30 minutes - $50

    • 45 minutes - $60

    • 60 minutes - $70

Student age and musical experience should be taken into consideration when choosing a lesson length. Weekly lessons are encouraged for consistency and development.

Lesson payments are charged monthly and are due by the first lesson of each month.

Accepted forms of payment: Venmo or check

  • All students are expected to practice and prepare for every lesson. Practice doesn’t make perfect, practice makes permanent! Students will learn and develop practice techniques that build good habits and ultimately lead to success and joy in their playing. Ultimately, students determine their personal progress by the quality of their practice time.

  • Learning from quality sheet music is extremely motivating for students and a great way to build a personal music library. Scanned copies and loose sheets are discouraged. I often buy music online from JW Pepper, Shar Music, Sheet Music Plus, and occasionally Amazon. I also encourage you to support your community by shopping at local music stores.

  • Lessons will only be rescheduled or refunded if I am informed of the need for cancellation at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time. It is the responsibility of the student and their family to inform me if a lesson needs to be canceled or rescheduled. Exceptions will be made for illness or family emergencies. In the event that I need to cancel a lesson, your lesson will either be refunded or rescheduled to a different date.

If you don’t show up for your lesson and no communication occurred, no refund or makeup lesson will be offered.

Students who consistently arrive to lessons unprepared or behave disrespectfully may be placed on probation and potentially dismissed from my studio.
